Getting Started

To get started with Gigahatch Managed Kubernetes you have to create a cluster. Clusters are always created in an organisation. Before creating a cluster you will have to setup billing in your organisation first.

Setup billing

1. Go to the Gigahatch Portal.
2. Select the organisation you want to use.
3. Select Billing.
4. Press the “Create Billing Information” button. If it isn’t there, you have already setup billing for the organisation.
5. Enter your billing information.

After you have setup billing, you can now create your first cluster.

Create cluster

1. Go to the Gigahatch Portal.
2. Select the organisation you want to use.
3. Press the “Create Cluster” button and fill out the form.
4. Press “Create Cluster”.
5. You will now get redirected to the cluster detail page.
6. Wait until the cluster is up.
7. You can now press the “Get Kubeconfig” button to download the kubeconfig file.

Check out your cluster

To connect to your cluster you will need to have the kubectl cli tool installed. If you haven’t installed it yet, follow the instructions here.

Run the following command to list the nodes in the cluster.

kubectl --kubeconfig <PATH_TO_KUBECONFIG_FILE> get nodes
